By placing the rear hand in this position, you take advantage of many areas:
- Easy to see incoming strikes
- Easy to Block / Parry / Deflect incoming jabs / crosses
- Peripheral vision is NOT obstructed
- It is closer to the opponent – therefore quicker to land
- The structural alignment makes it very strong.
- Easy to cover hooks
You MUST remember to keep your chins tucked behind your front shoulder!
If you try this for 5 mins and then say it does not work – after doing it different for years – stop being silly.
